This will be considered a major quarterly project, credits will be given to a selected subject, e.g. for 1st quarter CT is focus on English as the base subject, topic of essay and debate evolves from this subject, 2nd quarter Religion, 3rd quarter Science and 4th Filipino. This Policy will be implemented from the intermediate to secondary level. Other levels or department are only encouraged to try either one of this activity. ENHANCE RLP (RELATED LEARNING PROGRAMS)

Strong leadership program for all stakeholders, not limited to the students; as part of our journey in CSNB, parents and teachers are expose to leadership training and the culture of good governance which will add up more experience base learning for everyone. Enhance Kuya-ate project has two component, club activities and leadership training movements, Guro ng CSNB which focuses on in house training/program for teachers, Magulang ng CSNB for parents and kapatid ng CSNB a community base experience of charity to the indigent. This ensures our actual community base education and leadership formation that empowers all major stakeholders to become proactive partners in the management and leadership of CSNB. Specifically, a student body that maintains and protects the school standard/policy because it is their own.

To ensure the sustenance of this program a development fund will be established to pay off the cost of activities. This will give a more self sufficient Activity Coordinator equip with a reasonable budget to carry out its activities without being preoccupied with fund raising drives.

IWL (IMPROVING WORKING LIVES)

Improving Working Lives (IWL) is the institutions initiative within the Master Plan of CSNB, which recognizes that the CSNB must offer staff a better deal in their working lives..

CSNB is committed to not only meeting but, where possible, exceeding the standards set out within the labour code in a way that directly benefit staff and makes a real difference to working lives throughout the Corporation. CSNB aims to be able to effectively compete with other employers (local/international) and attract, recruit and retain QUALITY staff and IWL is, therefore, regarded as a major tool in tackling both recruitment and retention issues of the corporation. Therefore IWL shall form part of the yearly appraisal or audit by the president.

This policy is designed to give a clear prospective for the planning of the school board and hopes that this will ensure the boards commitment towards improving the lives of all employees and give a model for more specific policies. Generally, this policy sets key priorities that will trigger better and specific plan for CSNB’s employees.

WAW (WRITING AT WORK)

Writing is one thing that we must do every day, and our personal and the whole institution’s success depends largely on our ability to express our ideas and plans in suitable formats.

You probably think of writing primarily as a means of communication, but consider first your other reasons for writing; writing for yourself; many of the things you write are notes, memoranda and other records. They help you in many ways with your day-to-day work. And specifically writing helps you to: observe, remember, think, plan your work, be well organized, and avoid stress at work. And of course, writing for your work, for CSNB, many forms or templates helps in ensuring that employees do write and documentation are maintain in all process in its operation, personnel, finance and marketing. Unless documented nothing has been done.

CSNB’s good governance principles and its vision to be the best catholic institution requires to have appropriate measures in place to ensure the best way to write and document, being an educational institution, bulk of its measure is dependent on the writings we make, a best/good writer from the board or employee will be echoed down to the pupils we teach.

ICT (INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY)

Records, and the information contained within them, are the means by which the work of the CSNB can be conducted, and by which the institution can maintain accountability as a public authority.

In the context of the ICT Implementation, and development of increasingly electronic records/file management, it is important to ensure that the school has a demonstrably consistent, coordinated and responsible organizational approach to recordkeeping. This approach is by creating high tech infrastructure for the flow of all information within and outside CSNB.

Careful and effective records management is already a requirement in the institution under the school governance guidelines. However, the institution have not yet implemented unique identifying number per stakeholder, e.g. student number, that is vital in record keeping and which every information per stakeholder can easily be access by using a unique number as FILE NAME or search identifier.

The components of ICT is huge, but the basic requirements have already been implemented; server setup and management, networking and soon a database system that will support operation, personnel, finance and marketing, either taken as a whole or per function unit. This will also set in motion a paperless environment for CSNB; electronic records, electronic lesson plans and lessons, electronic way of enrolling and paying.
